ITINERARY

DAY 1: TANGIER → CAPE SPARTEL → HERCULES CAVES → CHEFCHAOUEN

Pick-up from Tangier airport, port, or hotel. Visit Cape Spartel where the Atlantic and Mediterranean meet, and the Caves of Hercules. Drive through the Rif Mountains to the Blue City of Chefchaouen. Evening in the blue medina. Overnight.

DAY 2: FULL GUIDED DAY IN CHEFCHAOUEN

An entire day in Chefchaouen with a local guide. Explore the magical blue medina — cobalt alleyways, artisan shops, the central plaza, and the Spanish Mosque above the city for panoramic views. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

DAY 3: CHEFCHAOUEN → VOLUBILIS → MEKNES → FES

Drive south to UNESCO Volubilis — extraordinary preserved mosaics, triumphal arch, and ancient columns. Continue to Meknes — Bab al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani, royal stables, Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Drive to Fes. Overnight riad.

DAY 4: FULL GUIDED TOUR OF FES MEDINA

Full day with specialist local guide. Royal Palace Gate, Jewish Mellah, Borj Sud viewpoint. Walking tour: Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University (world’s oldest, founded 859 AD), Al-Attarine Madrasa, Chouara Tanneries, craft and spice souks. Overnight riad.

DAY 5: FES → IFRANE → CEDAR FOREST → ZIZ VALLEY → MERZOUGA → LUXURY CAMP

Drive south through Ifrane (“Switzerland of Morocco”) and cedar forests (Barbary macaques). Lunch in Midelt. Breathtaking Ziz Valley. Arrive Merzouga. Camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset. Luxury desert camp: traditional dinner, Berber music, stars. Overnight in camp.

DAY 6: FULL DAY EXPLORING MERZOUGA DESERT — NOMADS, KHAMLIA, FLAMINGO LAKE

Desert sunrise and breakfast. Full day by 4×4: ancient eyeliner mine, nomadic family visit (Berber tea), Khamlia Gnaoua village (music from sub-Saharan Africa), local restaurant lunch, date palm grove, wild flamingo lake. Dinner and overnight in a hotel near the dunes.

DAY 7: MERZOUGA → RISSANI → ERFOUD → TODRA GORGES → DADES VALLEY

Rissani souk. Erfoud fossil marble workshop. Soaring Todra Gorges walk (300-metre canyon walls). Dades Valley with “monkey fingers” rock formations and panoramic gorge viewpoint. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 8: DADES VALLEY → ROSE VALLEY → AMRIDIL KASBAH → OUARZAZATE → AIT BEN HADDOU → MARRAKECH

Rose Valley (annual May Rose Festival). Skoura palm grove and the beautifully preserved Amridil Kasbah. Ouarzazate Atlas Film Studios. UNESCO Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou — starred in Gladiator, Game of Thrones. High Atlas via Tizi-N-Tichka. Arrive Marrakech. Overnight riad.

DAY 9: FULL GUIDED DAY IN MARRAKECH

Full day with specialist local guide: Bahia Palace, Ben Youssef Madrasa, Koutoubia Mosque, dyers’ souks, the legendary Jemaa el-Fnaa square — storytellers, musicians, and extraordinary food stalls. Overnight riad.

DAY 10: FREE DAY IN MARRAKECH → DEPARTURE

Free morning to explore Marrakech at leisure. Drop-off at airport or accommodation. Tour ends.
